There are four different glass cleaners from RUTLAND… How do you know which one to purchase? That is a great question! The list below will show you which glass cleaner will clean and help maintain the creosote on your glass doors.
Fireplace Glass Cleaner, Item #82:
This product effectively cleans soot, grime and creosote from glass doors. If you are looking to clean your fireplace glass doors that do not have baked on creosote- this is the product for you!
Conditioning Glass Cleaner, Item #84:
This product removes baked on residue on hearth & grill glass doors along with conditioning and protecting the glass. If you are looking to remove baked on creosote- this is the product for you! It ALSO leaves a protective silicone layer to make the next cleaning easier!
White Off, Item #565:
This product removes white mineral residue on glass doors caused by gas log fires. This product ALSO cleans ceramic range tops, stainless steel, chrome, aluminum and porcelain. Who doesn’t love a product that can help finish many jobs! If you are seeing a white film on your glass doors- this is the product for you!
August West Clean & Brite, Item #AW-3012:
This product removes creosote, smoke, dirt and stains on glass. This product is recommended for PROFESSIONAL US ONLY. If you are a professional looking for a strong product to clean creosote from fireplace glass doors- this is the product for you!

We recommend after applying RUTLAND Fireplace Mortar in 1/8″ increments (letting each layer dry for at least 6 hours- depending on the humidity in the air), let the product air-dry 24 hours before the final heat cure.
Rutland Fireplace Mortar must be heat cured within 30 days.

RUTLAND Castable Refractory Cement, (item # 600 & 601) is ideal for building outdoor fire-pits. It is a dry-mix material which when mixed with water, chemically sets as hard as a brick. It can be cast in shapes tailored to the exact needs of the fire-pit. Easy to use! Cures hard as firebrick, withstands 2200º (F) and can be painted when cured. Can be used indoors or outdoors!
